1. Bulletin Board Usage Policy

    The Paul Pratt Memorial Library views our public Bulletin Boards as a place for non-profit organizations within our community to advertise their functions, and for private individuals within our community to advertise their services (teens advertising babysitting services or music teachers advertising lessons for, example).

    The goal of the library’s collection development process is to develop and maintain a balanced collection that meets the literary, educational, cultural and informational needs of library patrons and is representative of diverse points of view.

  5. Deposit Collection Policy

    The Paul Pratt Memorial Library makes available educational resources to support the Cohasset schools’ curriculum. Deposit collections or “teacher loans” of books and other library resources from our collection may be borrowed for extended period of times for use within the classroom. Upon request, the library also provides reserve collections of subject materials for student use at the Paul Pratt Memorial Library when the actual materials on any specific subject are limited.

  6. Display Case Policy

    The Paul Pratt Memorial Library invites Cohasset individuals and community organizations to use the library’s display case for presentations of an educational, cultural, or artistic nature. Display of material on controversial topics must cover a range of views, and does not constitute endorsement of the content by the Paul Pratt Memorial Library. All proposed displays should be artistically pleasing and professionally executed.

  7. Donation of Materials Policy

    The Paul Pratt Memorial Library is happy to accept gifts of hardcover and paperback books that are less than ten years old and in good condition.

  9. Historical Room Archives Policy & Use Procedures

    The mission of the Paul Pratt Memorial Library Archives is to collect, organize, preserve and make accessible books, documents and maps pertaining to the social, economic, cultural and natural history of Cohasset, including state and regional studies which cover Cohasset.
