Policy on the Public Use of Library Meeting Rooms

The Paul Pratt Memorial Library permits Cohasset organizations and individuals to utilize the library’s meeting rooms. The library supports and endorses the American Library Association’s Bill of Rights which states:
“Libraries which maintain meeting rooms, exhibit space, or other facilities open to the public should make them available on equal terms to all persons, regardless of their beliefs or affiliations.”

Permission to meet at the library does not constitute or imply an endorsement by the Board of Library Trustees or any library official of an organization. Library sponsorship may not be implied in publicity.

Priority for meeting rooms will be given to the library and to non-profit organizations.

Users must submit a meeting room application form.

The Board of Library Trustees may revoke meeting room privileges.
