Avoid the summer slide by joining the 2018 summer reading program, Libraries Rock! The2018 summer reading program is sponsored by the Paul Pratt Memorial Library, the Friends of the Cohasset Library, the Massachusetts Library System, the Boston Bruins, and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. Registration begins on Monday, June 25, 2018. At the time of registration, students will choose a summer reading log and will record each time they read, are read to, or listen to a book or story. At the completion of the summer program, Friday, August 3, 2018, participants will return their reading logs to the library for entry into the Boston Bruins Prize Raffle. Each student will also receive a free book and the Friends of the Cohasset Library will donate $1.00 to theCohasset Working Dog Foundation. The mission of the CWDF is to support Cohasset’s Police K-9 program, to provide grants to individuals in the community toward the purchase and training of service dogs, and to train therapy dogs for use in the community, such as the Reading Partners program at the PPML. To learn more about CWDF go to cohassetworkingdog.org. Join us on Wednesday evenings for our free Family Performances. A full calendar of events is available on our website, www.cohassetlibrary.org.
