Next Chapter's 11 by 11 tasks will position participants to engage in current technology and social networking Internet tools so that they can fully participate in a networked world. To help you complete each task, workshops are available free of charge. Contact the library for more information.

Task 1

Sign up for email. Email a message to Gayle Walsh, Adult Services Librarian at Paul Pratt Memorial Library to library@cohassetlibrary.org

Task 2

Sign up for a Facebook account. Become a Fan the library’s Page. Write a comment on the library’s Page.

Task 3

Take a digital photo and upload it to your computer. Post the photo on Facebook.

Task 4

Create a blog. Blog about your 11 by ’11 experience so far. Link to your blog from Facebook.

Task 5

Create a Powerpoint presentation. Upload the presentation to Slideshare.net and link to it from Facebook.

Task 6

Download a free audiobook or e-book to your computer using Overdrive. Transfer the book to a phone, ipod, MP3 player, e-book or other portable device.

Task 7

Sign up for LinkedIn. Post a link to your LinkedIn information on your Facebook profile.

Task 8

Create an e-newsletter. Send it to the library at library@cohassetlibrary.org.

Task 9

Join Twitter and tweet the library a message.

Task 10

Edit a picture from your digital camera. Post it on Facebook.

Task 11

Connect with friends using an online meeting tool. Blog about your experience.
